Lisa & Maria are a dynamic violin–cello duo based in Gothenburg, Sweden.Rooted in Nordic folk traditions they craft vibrant and imaginative arrangements that bring new life to both traditional and original tunes. Their music spans from groovy dance tunes to intimate, heartfelt melodies—taking listeners on a rich journey through the soundscape of Nordic traditionsIn October 2025, they will release their debut album Dagsländan—a musical diary where tradition and new creation meet, and every piece captures a moment, a feeling, a story.

Releases

Dagsländan (Swedish for “the mayfly”) can be described as a shared musical diary where every emotion finds its place. It is a collection of the songs the duo has played throughout more than a decade together, weaving both traditional and newly composed folk music into one story.Ida Holmedal has brought the musical idea to life, illustrating the different chapters of the diary on the album cover. Andreas Krambias has done the mixing and mastering.
